For this year's Halloween, three new areas were opened, including one double size area, and there were contests and an invasion throughout the three days. Several hundred people participated, and unique deeds were given out to all players who slew a pumpkinhead or collected a pumpkin token.

Several clan wars were also run, with the prize for each the standard trophy for the winning clans. Clan war results are not listed here.

This Halloween started early Monday morning, when Morpheus' new area, 'Castle Kraftrager', was opened to the public. This area is a large keep to the southwest of the village of Seaside on the island of Archais. It is suitable for players around level 20, and it adds a number of new quests to the village as well as in the castle itself.

Also started on Monday was the annual Pumpkin Cannon contest. Pumpkin cannons were set up outside of the Ralnoth slums, Jo'Kerin, Vemarken, Indira, Gad's Landing, Seaside, and DragonTooth. The three players with the farthest distance each received pumpkin cannon deeds and a free pumpkin-themed restring of a piece of equipment.

On Tuesday, an extremely high level area, 'the untamed wilds', was opened on the outer planar fire world. This area extends the caverns beneath the fire giant stronghold, adding a lot of new fame, boss mobs, and quests.

Tuesday also saw the beginning of a PumpkinHead invasion - foul pumpkinheaded creatures began appearing in all lands to attack and annoy travellers. Players worked through the day to stem the tide and keep their numbers under control.

Fortunately, the PumpkinHead problem did not interfere with the day's planned pk arena events. PK battles were set up for various level ranges, with the following winners:

On Wednesday, the Archais Archipelago, a huge double size area, was opened to the public. This large group of islands lies north of the Village of Seaside, and is suitable for players around level 20. There are thieving quests, lighthouses to light, a cursed temple to explore, hang gliders, a boat to sink and more! This area also brings a proper shipyard to Seaside, for those who wish to set sail from that port.

Unfortunately, overnight, one of the pumpkin cannons was destroyed by hoodlums from the Ralnoth Slums. Because of this, a new cannon was set up outside of Zin, and another was set up in the fields outside of Cornia. There were four pumpkin cannon winners this time, due to a tie for third place. Meanwhile, the PumpkinHead menace continued, unabated, with groups of players heroically coming to the rescue of besieged areas. To add insult to injury, trapped pumpkins began sprouting at random across the land, luring unsuspecting players into triggering explosions or other nastiness with the promise of special prizes. Over the course of the day, these were also gradually cleaned up by the players, protecting the less fortunate NPC inhabitants.
