This year's event was full of contests, ghosts, and spirits! The various
towns all set up the traditional pumpkin cannons, and players competed
against each other in arenas for prizes. The end of the event was
marked by the opening of a brand new area on the island of Kordan.
Pumpkinhead also returned to throw things into disarray, and this time
he called to the spirit world for assistance. Swirling dark clouds
started appearing in various places all over the world. Once the
clouds had fully formed, they began releasing long dead spirits back
into the world. A call went out for players to assist in putting the
ghosts back to rest, until a way could be found to deal with the strange
clouds.
There were over a dozen pk arena contests, including a new type of contest
for this year: monster arenas. Monster arenas let everyone compete on an
even playing field, by playing as monsters in the arena instead of with
a player character. The monster arenas were extremely popular, and we
plan to make it a regular feature in the game.
